About Me

I was born in Houston, lived there with my 2 brothers and 3 sisters for the first 5 years of my life. My father got transferred to New York so we lived in New Jersey for 2 and 1/2 years. The whole family hated it there so we moved down to San Antonio where my father got a job, lived there for about 7 or 8 years. Father's company then went out of business so he got hired on with a company in the D/FW area. Been living in the D/FW area since 6 weeks into my freshman year in HS.

In SA is where I learned to play basketball with my older brother and our friends. I very much enjoyed the game and didn't look to play any other sport after, other than pick up games and minor rec leagues. I was 6' 3" and 220 lbs in HS and now believe I missed the sport my body was made for, Football. Oh well, I'm now 6' 4" and lately have started working to take the lbs off.

I still am an avid Basketball fan who loves rooting for all Texas teams in the NBA (since I have emotions tied up in all the cities with clubs). I root for all three teams until SA and Houston come to Dallas, when I root exclusively for Dallas to win. I have also been known to root against the other two teams when there is something at stake for my Mavs. I am a casual fan of all other sports.

Going to school currently to get the degree that I didn't want after HS. I enjoy school MUCH more now then I did when I was being told which classes I had to take. Also seems that teachers at higher learning institutions do a better job (that may have more to do with me being able to apply teachings into real life better now that I am older).

I've been married for going on 12 years now and have LOVED most every minute of it. My wife is the center of my universe even though I know I should put one other person ahead of her. She is the true meaning of "the better half". Everyone who meets her absolutely loves her, as did I when we first met. I'm just glad she picked me. We don't currently have any kids (mostly by design), but are starting to warm to the idea of sharing our love with another few beings on this earth.

She is a perfectionist, but doesn't completely expect the same out of others, which tells me she will make a great mother. She says I would make a great father, but that is only because she sees me with the 25 nieces and nephews on my side of the family for short periods of time. There is something about me that gets along great with people for short periods of time, then it wears off and things tense up. I'm working on that.

Anyway, now I'm rambling at too late an hour. Hope you enjoyed the read and thanks for stopping by!
